This is a collection of links to pages LMHPC members have found helpful over the years. The club does not endorse any of the listed websites and does not receive anything in exchange for including sites on this list. Siegel Pigeons is the exclusive seller of Benzing racing clocks and equipment in the United States. If you want to race with modern electronic systems, you'll need to get to know the staff at Siegel's. Our members have found the online ordering cumbersome and find its best to write down a list and call in your order.

LMHPC members place a group order about every other month for quality blended pigeon foods and grits. Sources their grain from Amish farms in Ohio.

YouTube Channels We Enjoy

There is a long list of excellent pigeon racing content available on YouTube. In no particular order, here are a few of our members favorite channels:

  • Lamberton Racing Pigeons: Third generation pigeon breeder and racer Jeff Lamberton interviews top breeders, racers, and OLR operators at length, providing insights into various breeding, training, and racing methods, and the pros and cons of different feeding systems, supplements, medications, and wellness programs.

  • How to Train Your Pigeon: A frustrated Brit chronicles the midlife crisis that led him to begin racing pigeons. A frank discussion of the challenges for first-timers with no prior history of pigeon racing that is fast-paced and sure to entertain.

  • Little Loft on the Hill: A Californian shares his experiences learning how to race pigeons and starting a small one loft race.

  • McLaughlin Lofts: The knows-it-all and tried-it-all old man of pigeon racing tells you exactly what he thinks you ought to do to reach the top of the race sheet.

  • Robertson Family Racing Pigeons: A research scientist turned pigeon racer explains pigeon racing in an easy-to-understand way including all the practical advice no one thinks to tell newbies.

  • Guy with the Pink Gun: Ethan Pippit of Standing Stone Kennels became (and still is) the ultimate provider of bird dog breeding and training instruction on YouTube. This sub-channel focuses primarily on Ethan's more recent foray into breeding high-performance racing pigeons for one loft races.

Started in 2025 and featuring new episodes weekly, the podcast is an on-going conversation between an experienced pigeon racer, a complete newbie, and (often) a special guest. Programs are centered on a particular topic and cover subjects from basic how-to, pigeon science, buying/selecting pigeons, and challenges every pigeon racer may expect to encounter.

This online pigeon auction website features pigeons imported from Europe and located in the United States, often top names in Belgian, Dutch, and German pigeon racing whose birds are in high demand and command top dollar.

Barnhart & Son's Loft

Located in Lima, Ohio, Barnhart & Son's Loft races pigeons in the West Central Ohio Flyers Racing Pigeon Club. Tom Barnhart's website provides a wealth of information regarding the breeding and genetics of various pigeon colors and patterns. It also offers birds for sale on a regular basis.

The Pigeon Doctor

Veterinarian Zsolt Talaber maintains The Pigeon Doctor website that provides general information regarding common pigeon health concerns along with useful information for pigeon fanciers that breed and race pigeons. Particularly helpful is his archive of past articles and posts addressing specific issues and products.
