Non-Club Racing
LMHPC members breed pigeons that are entered in one loft races, futurity races, and pigeon derbies sponsored by other organizations.
The Apple Cup One Loft Race
LMHPC members Kal Yahya, Doug Weir, and Dave Kunath (Remy's Bird Shed) sent young birds to the Apple Cup this year as part of a 20-bird team organized by Kyle Wasalaski of the Frankenmuth club. The birds are competing as the Ninja Turtles syndicate. Follow along to watch the progress of these birds here.
Also participating in the Ninja Turtles syndicate is Stacy Hayes of Hayes Brothers Loft in North Carolina. The Hayes Brothers have been successful in one loft races around the country and we're pleased to team up with them and others in an effort to reach the top of the race sheet in this year's Apple Cup. The Hayes Brothers also entered birds in the Greater Michigan Open Combine auction race and are proud to support the sport of pigeon racing in Michigan.

The Dairyland Derby OLR
This is the second year of The Dairyland Derby One Loft Race run by Calvin Gall in Belgium, Wisconsin. This small race is limited to 250 entries, no more than five birds from any breeder. LMHPC member David Kunath entered two birds in this race: AU-2026-ARPU-17901, a muscular young bird with long wings that blends Meuleman and Detroit Bekaert blood, and AU-2026-ARPU-17908, a feisty blue checker from a Dave Dudley cock and a Dirk Van Dyke hen.
